AIS · Audience Intent Score
The Audience Intent Score (AIS) is Sentia's ad-intelligence score, ranking observed ads by how likely they are to be working: spend signals, run length, creative iteration count, and audience-overlap with the brand's organic followers. Sentia computes AIS across Meta and TikTok ad inventory in 2026 with adapters for both observed_ads and brand_activity_ads tables. The score matters because most ad libraries dump every active creative in a flat list; AIS surfaces the ones competitors are quietly pouring budget into.
What it is
AIS scores each observed ad on four signals: spend bands from the ad library, run-length (longer runs imply the ad is working), creative iteration count (rapid iteration implies optimisation), and audience overlap with the brand's known organic followers. The composite is calibrated against ads from cohort competitors to filter out scale effects.
Why it matters
A competitor running 200 ads is not running 200 effective ads. They are running 5-10 effective ones and 190 throwaways. AIS finds the 5-10. That dramatically changes the analyst's reading of a competitor's ad strategy and the creative team's reaction.
How Sentia uses it
AIS lives in app/lib/scoring/adScore.js. It renders as the default sort on /monitors/[id]/ad-library and shows up in the AdCard detail sheet as a sub-score breakdown. Adapters cover both the legacy observed_ads table and the canonical brand_activity_ads table.
